PARAGON trip this weekend

Post by BlueDodgeRam »

Can somebody post up the plans for this weekend's trip to Paragon for the rock races; departure times, route, vehicles being taken, etc.? I'm planning on driving, with possibly a friend from back home in Lynchburg, who i'd have to pick up friday morning after class depending on when we plan on leaving. thanks

I think we are leaving later in the afternoon on friday, that way everyone will be done with classes and/or work. I know i am driving my truck, so I can pull a trailer to help leach pick up his new toy.

I am looking for hotel information this afternoon and will post up here. The current list I have of people wanting to go is:

Me
Josh
Chris Baber
Peter
Turbo
Adam
Possibly Grandma
Possibly Peters friend

Peter if you are bringing your friend I guess you will be driving your truck, which I think you were planning on doing anyway. Adam and Benny will be in their Celica I believe and we have room for the remaining 4 in Joshs' truck.

You can take off whenever you need to, but I plan on staying and watching the entire event. I figure driving 7 hours or so, I'm staying till it's done.

I don't know when it will be over, but as with any wheeling trip it probably won't be done on time (but I don't know when it is supposed to be over anyways).

Actually I just checked their website and the event is Saturday only. Tech inspection is on Friday and racing on Saturday. So we can peace on Saturday night after the race is over to avoid paying for another night in the hotel.

Thats what I was thinking too, just take the long haul back Saturday night. I will call up the buggy guy and see if we can pick it up Friday night, not sure when he is working then/over the weekend.

Peter have you gotten yourself a room? I am calling the hotel right now to reserve 3 rooms, just so we can have enough. But if its going to be one night Ill just sleep on the floor in one of the rooms or something, to cheapen up our bill a little bit. Preferably have 2 rooms, but Ill have 3 reserved if they have that many available. Will post back up here soon wtih more info.

And Peter if you are going to stay another night to visit your bud on saturday, you can just keep one of the rooms and pay for that night yourself if you are going to go that route, but its up to you when you want to leave, stay/etc.

Was a great time. Definately fun even though the event didnt last as long as we would have liked. I know Cody has some pics on his computer and Ill try to get him to get off his ass and post them.
