2 seat unfinished tube chassis on chevy frame

Post by Billet Benny »

SC4WDA, feel free to help me advertise.

Okay, I've made the decision. Selling off the buggy chassis. What it is is the makings of a 2 seat buggy on what was a Chevy V30 frame.

What you get:
A modified '87 V30 frame
All the current tube work this is welded to said frame
Rear 63" Chevy leafsprings bolted in
Front lift springs bolted in (I think I bought Superlift springs and they don't have a road mile on them)
I think you'll get the stock crossmember that came in the truck if I can find it.

As set up the following will bolt in:
Chevy small block with the stock motor mounts for this frame ('87 V30)
Chevy front 60 from '87 or any other Chevy 60 with the same specs (pretty much all kingpin Chevy 60's)
FF14 bolt out of a one ton '87 Chevy or any other 1 ton 14 bolt with the same dimensions. 3/4 ton 14 bolts won't work because their spring pad spacing is larger.

If I find the xmember you can bolt in the original drivetrain which was a 350 tbi, sm465 with the long 32 spline output, and an np205.

Specs:
As setup it yields about 112" wheelbase
All tube is 2" .120 wall DOM except the bar in the windshield which is 1 3/4" .120 wall DOM... Most all the DOM was manufacted by Sharon.
Built/Rebuilt a new front crossmember to locate the axle better. It takes a little adjustment to run the stock leaf spring bushings.
Also rebuilt the front axle shackle hangers and placed them under the frame.
Cut a ton of frame off the rear and used the stock front spring hanger for the rear springs as the new shackle hanger for the rear springs. Then added another set of hangers to bolt in the front of the rear springs.
Seat mounts in it now will accept Toyota Supra seats if you modify the rear seat mounts on the seat.

I also think there's one piece of tube added between the front passenger side "wheel hoop" to the A-pillar that isn't in these pictures. Also, most of the tube has been painted with gray primer.

Pictures posted include lots of parts not in the sale. All you get is the unfinished chassis and springs. NOTHING ELSE. $1000 or the best offer.
