NEED ME SUM MUD TARS AND RIMS

Post by MtnManMatt »

So my D44 and Ford 9" are finally on the way and I'm gonna need new tars and wheels in order to get it off jackstands and back to Bburg...

So any offers, help findin good deals, or advice on what to get would be greatly appreciated!

TARS: Still pretty open to whatever... I know what I like, but I figure what I end up with is gonna depend more on what I can find and afford.
-Good mud/rock tire
-Would love to throw some big cheap gnarly bias-plys on there, but since this has still gotta serve as my DD til I can save up for somethin else for the street, I guess I gotta stick with a radial that will wear decently on the blacktop (for a mud tire anyway)
-At least 37s, but interested in anything up to 39.5s...
-I'd stick with 15" rims if I could, but I guess if I'm gonna run at least 37" radials, I'll have to go up to at least 17" wheels...
-Still tryin to decide whether to get 4 or 5...

RIMS: Still goin for cheapish, so I guess steelies...maybe beadlocks?
-5x5.5 lug pattern
-I like big tars on iddy-biddy wheels, but they gotta match the tires of course...

Lemme know!

Summit/jegs are super cheap on new steelies. Like under 250 for a set. Wait til you find tires then buy rims as what you find for a tire will prolly determine your rim size

I agree with will I would wait to buy wheels until you figure out what rim size your tires will require. I would also focus on getting that rear axle installed before you worry about tires and wheels sir.
