Local Trail Clearing Nov. 3rd and/or 4th

Post by CJonLP »

As discussed at the meeting this past Sunday, I am hosting a trail making/cleaning on the weekend of Nov. 3rd and/or 4th. This is extended a short trail that has already be run by some in the club and will challenge all types of vehicle.

I would like to get started in the morning, not too early maybe 10 or so. We can discuss a starting time.

What's needed:

I am thinking 12 people at least, combining our club and the NRV Jeep Club, broken up into teams off 3. Each team will have a chainsaw operator and 2 others clearing/moving what is cut.

I have a chainsaw and chaps, so we will need 3 more if possible.

Here are some pics to get you excited (sorry they are all of my CJ):

You can get stuck there:

You can flop and have body damage:

You can break stuff like springs:

So, I encourage participation. I will post up the waivers ASAP.

Does "driving" = "wheeling" for everyone like it does me, atleast that's what I was thinking?

Charles:

I am driving a stock jk unlimited now. Would there be any parts of your trail(s) that I could run. I am interested in helping out and have a saw, etc.

Brett,

I would encourage you to bring it with you if you have any interest in wheeling. Once there, if you do not believe you should, you shouldn't, but if you didn't have it and found that it would be something you would like to try you might regret not bringing it.

I suspect you would find it challenging in your JK, but not undoable. Might take a "bump" or a couple of tries to get over some things, there are exits before it becomes single track.
