Trail Ride Request
I would like to gauge interest in a trail ride at my dad's place on one of the days on either the weekend of the 22/23 or the 29/30.
My wife and I are moving in July, just over to Radford, not out of the area and we are having our first child also sometime in July, hopefully after the move. I don't forsee me getting much trail time in after the baby is born for a good while. So, I am proposing a "Last trail ride before my world gets turned upside down!" trail ride.
I don't know how many of you are in town, or if anyone is interested, but post up and we can try and nail down a schedule. I will, of course, have to discuss with my pregnant wife the proposed schedule and any conflicts she presents may impact our plan. Right now she has the last say....but i think she understands.
I do have another request if this is going to happen. When we get to the current top/end of the trail, can we spend (1) hour clearing a small portion that I have not been able to by myself that will open a good amount of addition trail.
So......

I'm interested. The jeep still needs work done so the later date would be better for me.
Re: Trail Ride Request
I like the way this is starting out.
Re: Trail Ride Request
I won't be in town at the end of the month so the week before is the best time for me. Even more so since the week after the end of the month is exam week for VT

Here is a video of the "Shrader Valley" portion of the trail:

Beyond the point where I turned around (whelling alone, never good) is what I am going to call "Darth Vaden" because the property owners last name is Vaden, and that is where the trail starts getting good.
Just trying to wet everyones appetite.

Re: Trail Ride Request
I'm not sure on what my school schedule will be like, it kinda fluctuates, I could potentially make any of the above dates work. If I cant get the xj out there I would be game for bringing the DD xj and helping to cut some trail

I got the go ahead from the wifey.
We are moving to 6th Ave, East side of town.

Re: Trail Ride Request
I'm game for any of the weekends just as long as I/we can start early enough since I typically work at 6 or 7pm.

Re: Trail Ride Request
Are you guys opposed to going ahead and planning on Sunday the 30th being the date of the ride?
What time would you like to get started?
