i need a garage....

Post by jonesy »

imma have to do some work on the TJ to get it running right before i can head home for christmas....gotta change out all the fluids and probably change a starter. id really like to not have to do all of this out in the open, and heat would be nice, but beggers cant be choosers. i wont beg you into helping me, i know everyone has stuff to be doing, especially this time of year, im just looking for roof and walls to keep the snow and wind off of me while i patch the jeep back together so i can limp it home and work out my recent bugs....

let me know if you are willing to loan me your garage / shack / lean-to for a few hours....ill gladly compensate with a 12er of your favorite brew

thanks,
Cody

what did you do to it now Cody?

if it comes down to it, I have enough tarps and camping type rooftops to enclose the rig and at least get you out of the wind. give me a call if you go to work on it this weekend.

You can use the shop over here in C'burg. It's heated, and I should have whatever tools you might need.

a BIG thanks to Derek for letting me use his garage that even had *gasp* heat ... a commodity most of us arent used too. and thanks to Peter for loaning me his hands for the night....

i got the tranny and the transfer case drained and filled (got the tranny REALLY full :o Note to self: dont put 8 qts of ATF in a Chrystler 999 tranny...it is about 3 qts too much!!! )

transfer case is all good.

tranny, not so much. we pulled the tranny pan and scraped about 97 pounds of metal shards / shaving out of it....so my guess is that i will be doing more tranny work in the near future (AW4 swap, maybe? :muahaha: )

going back next week to pull the diff covers and see how much metal we can scrape out of the diffs...then gonna add some Royal Purple gear oil :D

thanks to all of those that offered up car ports, tarps, garages, and extra hands...

cheers.
