My 2005 Tacoma TRD Sport

Post by tacobandit »

Hey everyone. I have decided to sell my TRD Sport. The truck is in excellent shape. It has a fully upgraded Fox Racing Suspension with Total Chaos Control Arms, Body Armor Front and Rear Bumpers with Tire Swing, PIAA Off-road lights, skid plates and many more upgrades. I really hate to sell the truck, but it needs to go to someone who will fully appreciate and use its capabilities and not just be on the interstate, as I always seem to be. The truck is running great and has a new set of BFG K02 Tires, so it is good to go for a long time. It also has a new frame and many other parts that were involved in the Toyota recall, so nearly the whole truck is new.

Contact me if interested and I'll send pictures. Spread the word if you can!

Thanks

Yeah, I really love that truck, but it's time to move on. I'll still be wheeling in the next truck though!

I'm thinking a new TRD OR with an automatic. I'm stuck between quad and access cab, and quicksand and silver sky metallic. Leaning towards quicksand access cab. What do y'all think?

That'd be cool, personally I still really like the 2nd gens over the 3rds, but that new 3.5L puts out much better power than the older 4.0L. You should definitely consider the 6 speed manual, we had the same 6 speed in our FJ and it was beautiful. I also believe that the manuals are geared lower in both the diffs and the first gear, definitely helped in crawling situations, not that it really matters since the new tacos have a fancy crawl control thingy. Anyways, good luck!

Yeah, my current truck is a manual, and it is definitely good off road. The problem is in 4High it is hard to find the perfect speed for following people off-road (between first and second). The Manuals are geared different, which sets it up for a 3 mpg loss vs. the auto. I love driving a manual and it would save me money, but for city driving it gets frustrating. Plus you can't burn up the clutch in an auto (not that I have personally in a manual). The new truck will definitely be a big difference!

Here is a link to the truck with some pictures. I just brought is back home for this weekend, some people have been contacting us. With all of the extra on the truck I'm looking to get $18,000. I think that is pretty reasonable since a lot of people trying to sell their stock tacomas are in the 20's. Hopefully one of these will work out here soon. What do y'all think about the quicksand color for my next truck?
