I jacked it up and there is a lot of play in the drivers side hub. Assuming it is the wheel bearing, i am going to pick up parts today. Looks like advanced auto sells the whole hub assembly. They have two brands, Driveworks ($65 with 1yr) and MOOG ($100 with 3yr). Does anybody have experience with Driveworks? I know moog is the better buy and I don't like to skimp out on shit like this but im broke rn :crybaby2: .

So
-Any recommendations?
-Also if I replace one should I replace the other?
-And not sure what the plans are for tomorrows meeting but if I get the parts, you think anybody could help me out then?

Job itself is not too hard, only a handful of bolts that have to come out. The difficult parts is hitting the hub out of the knuckle of if a bolt is seized.

Would advise for Moog over Driveworks. You'll be doing the job again in 2 months with a offbrand part.

Come to the meeting tonight and we can talk about it further.

Agreed Moog is the way to go, with drive works chances are you will have to replace again sooner

unfortunatly could not make the meeting last night.

Thank you for the advice I will be going with MOOG, ( found 30% advanced auto coupon :thumby: ). I'll probably do it this week and i'll post up if i need assistance.

Last question..
-is an alignment recommended with a wheel bearing replacement?

There is also TRT41 for $40 off $100+, TRT30 for 30% off on orders over $50, and P20 for 20% off any online order no minimum.

A wheel bearing should not affect alignment. Well rephrase, a bad wheeling bearing will cause too much camber from the tire sitting not perfectly up and down. However, you won't "need" an alignment after replacement. Most Jeep's you can only adjust the "toe" setting anyways.

So I ended up replacing both wheel bearings which did need to be changed but didn't fix my squeak problem. Pulled the front shaft today and turns out the noise is coming from the double cardon joint. Any recommendations for this? Ball rebuild kit? New assembly? Junk yard driveshaft? I'm broke from both those new wheel bearings haha and I don't have tools to press or pop out u joints.

You can rent a ball joint press from Advanced for free (After you return it you get your deposit back 100%) to get the u joints out and the back in. I like this method better than a hammer.

Check this video out to give you an idea of the process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQl68ZbMWrM

As far as the parts, I'd replace all 3 u joints, the centering ball, grease slinger, and spring (Aside from the u joints, those parts usually come in a kit)
