Re: Big Event 2017
To everyone who is participating this Saturday, April 8th.
I have to be there before 9:00am to pick up our club work orders. (Information on where we are going, tools we need etc.) We should be all in one group based on the amount of people who signed up. Also, we are not going to Todd's this year unfortunately, I do not know where we will end up.
IMPORTANT INFO BELOW
Volunteers are supposed to be there at about 9:30, there is an opening ceremony about 10:00 and the tool distribution does not start until about 10:35. There will be two options occurring based on if we need tools are not.
Option A: When I get the paperwork about 9:00 and if we have to stay and wait for tools I will not "make" anyone show up early and go through the ceremony etc. I will likely go to breakfast and wait until 10:30 to get the tools. Then leave to the project.
Option B: I get the paperwork about 9:00 and we don't need any additional tools, or need anything we don't already have, we will leave early to go to the person's house to work and minimize time lost. (Maybe stop for breakfast on the way there if we are really early, I do not think the person expects us until around 11:00) I think time working on the project is much better spent than standing around watching people on stage, just my opinion.
Ride(s) I will volunteer the WJ to take myself plus 3 and we will need 1 or 2 more vehicles to go out there. (No donuts on the parking garage this year, sorry. )
That should cover most of it. I will make a Slack Announcement and post on the forum around 9:00am on Saturday to figure out option A or B. Please if you signed up, please show up. Lastly, if you or a friend would like to join and did not sign up, you are more than welcome to come with us.
