Spindle Puller
Is there such a thing? Im breaking down the D44 while im at home and cant get the damn spindle to budge and im pretty sure there is nothing holding it on cept for a tight rust seal maybe. I dont wanna bang on it too hard as the surface is smooth where the bearings sit on it.

Try coating it with pb blaster about 10 times and tap. Let sit for a while. Try going at it from the back side with a chisel. Good luck.

It took me 3 days to get the spindle off my f150. I tried everything listed above, and nothing worked until I got the sledge with a piece of wood to soften the blow.

Yeah, on the easy spindle. The hard one would not come of so it had to be sacrificed. About ten full swing blows with a 9lb spitting maul got it off, it was trash though. The option was either that, or cut it off with a torch, luckily I had a spare axle to rob a good spindle off. Not to scare you or anything.TerryD wrote:rubber coated dead blow hammers work excelent in that situation....ask verticleTRX....lol
Vert: are you sure that's the way to do that?!?!?
TerryD: came off didn't it??

Wouldn't count on it. Thats why I'm in BC instead. That and the fact that my grades weren't near good enough to get into Engineering...Yoda wrote: sophmore year will hopefully be more purposeful.
