Need Stuff

Post by The Beav »

Well I picked up another K5 and I need a bunch of shit to get it rolling

Need an 8 lug 10 bolt front with 4.10 gears or atleast a 4.10 6 lug one so I can swap over to 8 lug, already have a 4.10 14SF rear.

The rest of the stuff I need is just odds and ends so basically if you see a Blazer in the junkyard that is in relatively good shape let me know.

Beav, if you're hard pressed for one, I might be able to come up with one from my neighbor in WV, but he's not the cheapest, so I'd consider it a last resort.

Get a Dana 60.

You know I'm right. Don't waste your time on a 10 bolt.

10 bolts are like the HIV, you can hide it all you want, cover it up, make it pretty, but in the end it is still some nasty shit and will kill you.

Bottom line, 10 bolts are good for 1 thing......boat anchors.

Beav, jump on these now, go get them this weekend:

or go buy this one and run H1 wheels and spacers in the rear for a while:

http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=233085

you should have bought this one and run a GM IFS 241:

Stop playing around and get er done.

Yeah right.

I have killed two 12 bolts in stock suburbans easily. First was on the pavement, put it in gear and gave is moderate pedal and snapped a shaft.

Other was in the dirt/pine straw hit the throttle abotu 3/4 and pow, there went the gov-lock.

And those were 12 bolts.....10 bolts are even more ghey.

The only one I have ever had wound up at the bottom of a dumpster at my apartment complex in Radford. You get some weird looks when you haul an axle out of the apartment and chuck it in the dumpster...... :flipoff2:

For real Baber... What in the cornbread hell are you talking about. 10-bolts...That's even more retarded then welding on a Wag at 3 am after about 15 beers. For as much as you put into a 10-bolt you could be that much closer to a 60. Seriously man, you know better. No excuse.

You better act right before you get smacked right! :flipoff2:

Damn skraight, that welding was incredible. I know it pissed Benny off

I dont need no 60, this bitch is gonna be my pimp street ride. It is way to nice to wheel, there isnt any rust on it at all, seriously. I cant knowingly waste a good 60 on something that aint gonna go hardcore offroad.

Well, in that case then fine. I guess it makes sense, but what the hell do you need another street queen for? Selling the 98?

And for the 10 bolt opponents- he wants a 10 bolt front. They can survive mild wheeling with 35's just fine if taken care of. 10 bolt rears aren't much I will admit but Beav already states he has a 14 SF which is plenty strong.

Yeah my plan is to fill my driveway with mall crawlers, the 98 is going no where. The only reason I got this truck was the fact that it is so clean, prob wont ever find one like this again.
