careful with the hydro, cause your engine has to be running in order to run the pump. say you suck water into your intake, or otherwise can't start the engine, you'll be dead in the water.
another vote for a 10k electric... and another vote for the "rule of thumb"... twice your curb weight is good if you're planning on really using the winch.

I thought about that clay, but if my engine isn;t running i have bigger problems that getting out, not to mention unless you have a second battery just for the winch i figure you only have about 4-5 mins of winch time with an electric winch anyways.
