RC Crawlers?

Re: RC Crawlers?
Make sure to keep the axles greased. If you notice the motor struggling and batteries not lasting as long as usual it is likely a lack of grease in the axles. They are also picky about the type of grease in the axle. A lot of folks have success with the Lucas Read and Tacky. I have been using a valvoline grease thats red and it seems to work well. Look into the axle grease mod. Beats taking the thing apart to grease it. Heavener Hardware has lots of small set screws that work well for this purpose. If you have any questions on them let me know.

Thanks for the info Adam, I think I'm going to grease mine this week while the weather is crappy. I like mine so far. It definitely doesn't have any wheel speed but for slow crawling its awesome and I can live with going slow.

The titan 21 t motor (20$) and up the pinion tooth 2 teeth will gain you a little speed with no real loss in torque. It will also handle a 3s lipo but the stock ESC wont.
Adventure Hobbies in Cburg doesn't carry much in the way of crawler parts nor does anyone there have any knowledge or interest in them but they do have some parts you can use and will order most anything with no extra charge and they usually get it quick.
