What's the spline count on the input shaft?

what engine did the 700r4 come off of ?

SBC, 305 or 350. I was told it was a 350 but the truck came with a 305. Im gonna run the block number when I pull it tomorrow or the next day. I dont believe that the bellhousing bolt is the same for a V6?

Same as 4.3 90 degree V6, not the 2.8/3.1/3.4 60 degree V6.

You're correct on the input of the transfercase, but that particular year was near the change from 28spl to 31spline input on the TH700R4 which I was asking about. Sorry I didn't specify.
